A Certified Ethereum Professional (CEP) is knowledgeable about the Ethereum blockchain, Ethereum transactions, smart contracts and the Ethereum Virtual Machine. You can become a CEP with our Ethereum Certification!

CEPs have professional working knowledge in 33 topics which cover six (6) domains of Ethereum knowledge.

How can you get your Ethereum Certification?

1. Create an account and choose which certification you want to obtain.
2. When you are ready, enroll to take the exam. The exam is in English, and costs $99.99 USD. You must pay for the exam in cryptocurrency such as Ether. NOTE: Any overpayment will be considered a donation to C4. NOTE: Any overpayment will be considered a donation to C4. 3. Once you have successfully passed the exam, you can start the process of applying for your certification. This entails uploading a copy of your resume and agreeing to abide by C4's Code of Ethics. The certification fee totals $39.99 USD, which can also be paid using cryptocurrency such as Ether. 
4. Upon receiving your exam results, reviewing your curriculum vitae, and agreeing to the terms and conditions, your certification will be officially granted, and you will receive a notification confirming this.

Examination Format

The exam consists of 75 questions in multiple-choice and true/false formats, covering all 33 topics listed below. You'll have a 20-minute time limit to complete the exam, which means you won't be able to use search engines during the test. To obtain your certification, you need to achieve a minimum score of 70%. If you don't pass the exam, you can opt for a re-examination by paying the fee. The certification application process hinges on successfully completing the exam.

After paying the examination fee, there is no specific deadline for taking the exam. You're welcome to postpone the exam until you're fully prepared, without worrying about any penalties. However, once you start the exam, you'll have a 20-minute window to answer the 75 questions.

Terms and Conditions

The purpose of using the certification mark is to indicate that the associated services adhere to the established standard. Services linked to the certification mark are provided by individuals who have successfully completed an examination created and overseen by the organization. This examination assesses expertise in Ethereum-related professional knowledge and the candidate's ongoing commitment to ethical standards.

The initial certification is valid for a period of two (2) years, requiring renewal every two years thereafter. Renewal can be accomplished by meeting one of the following conditions:

1. Successfully completing a current examination designed and managed by the organization, confirming the individual's sustained proficiency in Ethereum-related topics and continued adherence to the relevant ethical code; Or 
2. Maintaining an affiliated relationship with the organization since obtaining the initial certification.
