Blockchain 101 Resources

Blockchain Technology Basics

Blockchain technology began with Bitcoin, expanded with Ethereum, and 14 years later Web3 is still changing our world.

Wallet Basics

Wallets are your connection to the world of Web3! In order to perform transactions on a blockchain, you must connect with a wallet. There are many types of wallets, so how do you choose which one to start with?

*C4 does not specifically recommend any wallet.

How Blockchains Can Be Used

Blockchain technology can be used in so many different ways! What started out as a way to conduct peer-to-peer transactions has exploded into a way to not only conduct borderless transactions, but also gaming, supply chain management, and to proving identity without providing personal information.

NFTs

Every NFT is a unique token whose ownership is recorded on a blockchain. By tokenizing real world assets, NFTs provide proof in the form of one-of-a-kind digital assets. One way of looking at this is that there are many copies of Pablo Picasso’s painting ‘Geurnica,’ but there is only one real Guernica. In the same way that there may be many PNGs of an NFT artwork, there is only one NFT that proves on-chain ownership.

DAOs

Say ‘goodbye’ to the traditional hierarchical structure we’ve seen in the workplace, and ‘hello’ to Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) that are redefining how a group of people with a common goal work together.
