A CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) Certificate of Compliance demonstrates that an entity’s defined cryptocurrency system successfully completed an independent CCSS audit.
During the audit, the system was found to conform to the applicable CCSS requirements for the certification level achieved within the defined audit scope. This includes controls governing the protection of key material and the CCSS Trusted Environment—the people, processes, and technology that could impact the security of that key material.
CCSS certification demonstrates to customers, partners, regulators, and other stakeholders that the certified system was independently audited against the CCSS requirements and found to conform to the standard.
It is important to note that a CCSS certification does not guarantee that a system can never be compromised. Rather, it demonstrates that the certified system conformed to the applicable CCSS requirements during the audit. To maintain certification, the system must successfully complete an annual CCSS audit.
