Second Post

Build a Searchable CCSS Article Index

  • Enable a search feature that:
    • Searches by keyword (e.g., “blueberries”).
    • Searches by tag (e.g., “multi-sig,” “key generation”).
  • Users should be able to:
    • See tagged posts (e.g., "posts tagged with 'blueberries'").
    • Also see all posts where that keyword appears in any part of the post, even if not tagged.

Restrict the Search to CCSS Content

  • Only CCSS-related posts should be included in this feature.
  • Must exclude general blog posts from search results.

Set Up a Dedicated Post Type or Category

  • Use a custom category (e.g., "CCSS Posts") to organize these entries.
  • This helps WordPress filter posts for both display and search functionality.

Use Existing WordPress Features Where Possible

  • Leverage WordPress’s built-in blog post structure for content.
  • Use the existing search functionality, but filtered only to the CCSS post category.
  • Avoid developing new tools unless necessary.

Design a New Search Results Template

  • Display search results that include:
    • The post title.
    • The date published.
    • A visible tag or label indicating which version of CCSS (e.g., 8.1 or 9.0) the post applies to.
    • Clear visual cues for users to know what version they're reading about.

Minimize Visual Requirements

  • The posts will be mostly text-based (no need for images by default).
  • Focus is on clarity, searchability, and relevance of CCSS guidance.

Backend First, Content Later

  • No immediate content is needed from Alejandro.
  • The team will populate the posts later — for now, they need the infrastructure set up.

The CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) has been updated to version 9.0. See the updated CCSS here.

Systems certified under 8.1 are still valid.
